We have added a new bug tracker for the Gryphon WoW server.

We will be testing out this tracker from now on and see if we like it more than regular bug reports or not. Unless you hear otherwise from us, please write all bugs in the tracker. We will not be acknowledging posts made on issues in the forums. To emphasize this, have closed the Unspawned NPCs/objects, Quest Problems, and Incorrect or missing database entries forums.

Please recreate all outstanding and unresolved issue topics in the above forums in the tracker for proper handling.

Aye, that's right. As a solution to the old shop erroring out (the software used was from 2005, geez!) we have moved to a newer one.

Together with the update the address for the shop has also changed, the new location is http://shop.hav0c.com/index.php


Old users (and new), I'm sorry but you will have to create new accounts. Any partially delivered orders on the previous shop will still be delivered if you follow the insctructions always sent to you in e-mail.

Platinum or soon to be platinum members, I still keep track of your total donated amount.


And while the Christmas discounts ended today, some prices have gone down permanently.


As you might notice, some products are missing from the new shop. Give it some time, they will all be added! The basic and most popular things are already there.

Another signifcant change is that you have to write all the information in the Comments box, including the account and character information. Do not leave this box empty!

Good thing is, now you can see on the PayPal e-mails/invoices what you have ordered.

Hey yah!

As you noticed the old forum at wow.hav0c.com is closed and you have found yourself at forum.hav0c.com
In addition the phpBB3 forum has been converted to IPB3

There were several reasons for upgrading and moving the forum, I'll name a few:

• The phpBB3 forum & portal's software were outdated
  
• Updating the phpBB3 portal would have caused several big errors, possibly leading to loss of user profiles and posts
  
• It is necessary to be up-to-date to be safe!
  
• IPB3 will offer many new options (like the multiquote and quick edit!)
  
• It is logical for the forum to be at forum.hav0c.com instead of wow.hav0c.com!

Well, anyhow, you will have to see the pros and cons for yourselves.
Just be aware that this board is still under maintenance, working on the skin and portal, also trying to bring the Gryphon status image somewhere. So stay tuned!

P.S. looks like avatars were lost with the conversion, you will have to upload a new one!

A part of yesterday's large update was that it had fixed all of the vendors and had added the new arena season gear. However, this was not mentioned anywhere and I was not aware that the new season items would be added. This has lead to a large mixup of players that were able to get the best arena PvP gear much too easily since the arena points weren't reset. We have rolled back the server about ~10 hours to before the update and have reverted the arena vendors to how they were before. This should stabilize everything back to normal.

We are planning on moving to the new arena season sometime next week so this announcement also serves as an announcement that next week all arena teams will be deleted and all arena points will be reset. The reset will take place after next Saturday which serves as the arena point flush day but before the next one so anywhere between Sunday and Friday. I'm not going to commit to a specific date because of my uncertain schedule but it will be in that range so that players will get only one more point flush before their arena points will be reset. This serves as a warning to players to spend all of their points immediately after the flush on Saturday or they will lose them. I will aim at deleting all current arena teams so that players will have to recreate them (and therefore start at 0 rating) but if that proves not to be a viable option then I will reset all ratings and win/lose data back to 0 for all existing teams.

I'm sorry for the general populace that have lost 10 hours of gameplay but there is always a risk of problems when doing large updates like this last one. We have been lucky enough to not have too many issues in the past but that doesn't mean that there isn't a chance problems like these pop up every once in a while. For the future, it is always a good rule of thumb to take it easy for 24 hours after a big update to give us enough time to make certain that everything is in proper working order.

There is no client update required. We are still on 3.1.3.

Also, let me know if there are any creature damage issues as there have been updates to the damage formula both on the core side and on the DB side but I have not applied the DB update yet as I want to see if it is needed first.

It is time to put an end to the reign of the red question marks in your inventory and invisible icons in the guild bank!

I took some time to play around with the forum settings and managed to get the Personal Issues forum to work.

That forum is now used to report hackers and also bugs that would give someone major advantage over other players (and would be widely abused after posted publically).

All posts in that forum are only readable by the staff.

Do not waste your and our time reporting minor quest problems and problems of that kind, those go in their usual forums.
